For which tasks (responsibilities)?
Create highly detailed and realistic backgrounds, landscapes, and environments and elements that match concept and style using 2D and 3D tools and techniques;
Create concepts for shots and color;
Provide or acquire photographic reference materials;
Combine photographic, paint, and 3d assets to conceptualize, create and design environments using techniques such as camera animation, image projection, layering, and lighting;
Work closely within different departments.
What kind of professional are we looking for?
More than 2+ years of experience as a Digital Matte Painter;
Strong portfolio which demonstrates ability to create beautiful and effective matte paintings for games and cinematics;
Knowledge of artistic principles as well as in photography;
Strong understanding of lighting, colors, compositions, and design;
Experience with 3D techniques (modeling, texturing, lighting etc.).
